Overview

The INS-801E is an unmanaged 5-port 10/100 RJ45 downlink industrial switch, designed for basic device interconnection with premium features. It supports auto-negotiation on all ports, enabling easy device aggregation in industrial Ethernet applications. The switch includes built-in traffic optimization to ensure stable performance and prevent packet loss by transporting VLAN packets without modification. Additionally, it prioritizes data with industrial QoS for Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and GOOSE packets.

Built with industrial-grade components, the switch is housed in a durable IP40-rated aluminum enclosure, protecting it from tools and environmental hazards. It is designed to withstand vibration, shock, free fall, interference, and operates in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C (-40°F to 176°F), making it ideal for harsh industrial environments.

In modern factory automation, heavy data traffic must be prioritized based on industrial communication protocols. Volktek’s iQoS (Industrial QoS) ensures priority handling of industrial data packets, including EtherNet/IP (EIP), PROFINET, and GOOSE (Generic Object-Oriented Substation Events).
