INS-840G is an unmanaged 16-port, 10/100/1000 RJ45 downlink industrial switch for communication between controllers and devices in automation settings. This high port density switch is used with multi-axis robots and their peripherals such as PLCs, HMIs, and legacy devices. Additionally, it offers auto-negotiation on all its ports to aggregate devices easily in industrial ethernet applications.
The switch offers various in-built traffic optimization and network performance features to prioritize important industrial data packets, prevent the loss of data during communication, and stable transmission. The device prevents packet loss with VLAN Passthru by forwarding VLAN packets. Additionally, it prioritizes data with industrial QoS priority for PROFINET packets, and with 802.1p Tag.
This switch is built with industrial-grade components, enclosed in an IP40 aluminum case to protect the device from tools and hazards. Designed to withstand vibration, shock, free fall, and temperatures ranging from -40℃~80℃ (-40°F~176°F) it suits extreme industrial applications.
Robust Electrical and Electromagnetic Safeguard
Engineered to withstand EMI (electromagnetic interference), ESD (Electrostatic discharge), power surge, over voltage, over current, and reverse polarity.
Redundant Power System
Powered simultaneously with two different power sources, e.g. SDR-480P-48 power supply and IRA-120/IRA-160 DIN-rail mountable AC to DC power adapter, with power failure alarm.
Auto Negotiable Link Speed Control
Auto negotiation of transmission speed between the switch and the connected PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
Advanced QoS Support
QoS (Quality of Service) for efficient data transmission to mission-critical applications.
Eco-friendly Green Ethernet Technology
IEEE802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) compliant with Green Ethernet technology for automatic adjustment of power consumption.
Reliable IP40-Rated Industrial Switch for Critical Environments
The IP40-rated industrial switch is designed to deliver dependable performance in critical environments where protection against solid particles is essential. Its durable enclosure shields the device from dust, debris, and electromagnetic interference, ensuring smooth operation in high-demand settings such as factories, control rooms, and mission-critical facilities. The switch provides robust protection against objects larger than 1 millimeter. With features like wide temperature tolerance, this industrial switch is ideal for maintaining uninterrupted data transmission in challenging, high-stakes environments
