Hawkeye 9005-24GP2GS is a 24-port, 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ downlink, 2-port FX/GbE multi-rate SFP uplink managed high-port density mainly designed for indoor building surveillance applications without air conditioning, for more convenient, reduced, and inexpensive storage. This high-port density PoE+ switch manages all remote powered devices (PDs) centrally and smartly. The flexible power input of this device (AC or DC) gives space to varying PoE requirements to supply enough power to all connected PDs in large networks, and the plug-and-play feature allows to easily solve by hand connection errors without technical intervention. The multi-rate SFP ports are used to deliver long-distance fiber connectivity to the control center and for the ring and cascading connections. With a passive cooling system, this fanless switch works silently and supports temperatures for industrial, hardened, and commercial environments. The accumulation of debris is avoided, a common concern in fan-integrated devices. This switch is built with industrial-grade components, enclosed in IP30 to protect the device from tools and hazards. Designed to withstand vibration, shock, free fall, at varying temperatures for various types of environments.

PoE Applications: Smart Surveillance and Wireless Access Points Compliant with Type 1 and Type 2 PoE (IEEE 802.3 at) this switch offers up to 30W per port for energy-efficient applications. The switch allows simple “plug-n-play” for PDs to interact with devices as soon as they are connected. This device is a high-port density switch with 24 ports to feed PDs for surveillance systems that cover complete floors.

The switch management interface uses PD control features, like PD-alive check and PoE scheduling, to control remote devices from a central location.

By securing the switch with a log-in password, only authorized users are allowed to access and configure the device. To increase security, the device complies with cybersecurity standards by using security protocols like TACACS+ (Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System Plus), RMON (Remote Network Monitoring) and protects from network intrusion and data leakage.
Loop-Free and Quick Recovery
Factory processes are time-sensitive and need to avoid at all costs the abrupt interruption of a system caused by loops. This device is equipped with ring protocols such as RSTP and ERPS to provide automatic backup paths to ensure loop-free transmission and quick recovery in sub-milliseconds when an active link fails.
Network at Glance with a Smart Topology Map
For easy problem finding and troubleshooting, a bird-eye view of the network gives OT and IT users a comprehensive understanding. The Ethernet switch uses smart technology to discover third-party devices, their interface, and link path status in a tri-color code (green, amber, and red). Furthermore, users can set up the map with customized icons and background images.
Protective Hardware Monitoring Features
Fiber transmission in industrial environments faces conditions that may impact the performance of the device negatively. To protect the interface the switch uses features like DDMI, to monitor values such as temperature, voltage, TX bias, TX power, and RX power to protect fiber transmission.
Resistant to Extreme Environments
The device is built with Industrial grade components, tested in-house, and certified for reliable operation in harsh environmental conditions by international market safety organizations like CE, FCC, and ROHS. Strong tolerance to extreme temperatures (-40°C~75°C), and resistance to interference makes this device infallible in demanding industrial environments around multiple types of machinery.
